みなさん、こんにちは。
白馬五竜高山植物園スタッフのみどりです。
ここ数日の白馬は、雨の日が続いています。
今週末は台風の接近も予想されていますので、ご来園予定の皆さまは、どうぞ雨具をご用意のうえ、お気をつけてお越しください。
さて、先週6月20日（土）、白馬五竜高山植物園は2026年グリーンシーズンの営業をスタートしました！
ご来園いただいた皆さま、本当にありがとうございました。
オープニングデーはあいにくの雨模様となりましたが、たくさんの方にお越しいただき、とても温かな一日となりました。
白馬アルプホルンの演奏で幕を開け、白馬村公式キャラクター「ヴィクトワール・シュヴァルブラン・村男III世」も遊びに来てくれました。
今年から山頂レストランでは信州産そば粉を使った「そばガレット」の提供がスタートし、新メニューの試食会も開催しました。
山麓では「Hakuba Green Market」も開かれ、雨の中でも笑顔あふれる一日となりました。
雨の日は少し足元が気になりますが、その分、植物たちはどこか嬉しそうに見える気がします。

そして週末には、ニッコウキスゲもたくさん咲き始めそうです。
雨や風の中でも、自分の季節になると静かに花を咲かせる植物たち。
その姿には、毎週のように励まされています。
最後に、最近見つけた小さな幸せをひとつ。
エスカルプラザ2階の外には、ツバメの巣があります。
毎日、お母さんツバメが何度も巣へ戻ってきて、小さなヒナたちに一生懸命ごはんを運んでいます。
その姿を見ていると、つい足を止めて応援したくなります。
元気に育って、いつか大きく羽ばたいていく日が今から楽しみです。
植物も、鳥たちも、そして私たちも。
それぞれの季節を迎えながら、この山で今日も生きています。
今週も、山で皆さまとお会いできることを楽しみにしています。

Hakuba has been wrapped in gentle summer rain over the past few days, and a typhoon is expected to approach this weekend. If you’re planning to visit us, please remember to bring your rain gear and take care while traveling.
Last Saturday (June 20), we officially opened the 2026 Green Season at Hakuba Goryu Alpine Botanical Garden!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us on our opening day.
Although the weather wasn’t on our side, it turned into a lively and memorable celebration.
The day began with a beautiful performance by the Hakuba Alphorn Ensemble, followed by a special visit from Hakuba Village’s beloved mascot, Victoire Cheval Blanc Murao III.
This season also marks the debut of our new buckwheat galette menu at the mountaintop restaurant, where visitors enjoyed a tasting of our newest creations. Down at the base area, the Hakuba Green Market added even more color and energy to the day.
Rain has a way of slowing us down, but it also reminds us to notice the quieter beauty around us.
This week, many flowers have chosen to greet the rain with their brightest smiles.
Even in the wind and rain, nature continues to flourish in its own quiet way.
I’d love to end with a little discovery that brought me joy.
Just outside Escal Plaza 2nd floor, a family of swallows has built a nest.
Every day, the mother swallow returns with food, while the tiny chicks eagerly wait with their beaks wide open.
I can’t wait to see them grow stronger, spread their wings, and one day take their very first flight.
The flowers are blooming.
The swallows are growing.
The mountains are smiling.
And another Green Season has quietly begun.
