Hello again it’s Cultus.

 

Oh how the seasons have change since the last time I wrote to you all.

 

Today is foggy again!! It seems as tho I can’t escape it, as whenever it’s my turn to write the blog the mountain is always covered in a thick fog (maybe I’m cursed?) But that won’t stop me!!

 

It’s as if I was standing in between two biomes, on my right Fog! And on my left Clear Skies!

 

Looking out on to the vast sea of clouds I imagined myself at the helm of a great ship sailing through the clouds like the scene from Peter Pan.

 

練馬theバイカーand I were packing up the net at the start line of today slalom race yelling ホリャア(horiya) each time we removed the poles from the net.

When he was packing it back into the bag he said “look cultus, I’m spiderman” as he made the gesture with his hand and threw the net as if he was shooting a Web. Lol

 

Sarubobo and kuma-kun embarking on their journey into the great beyond remarking at how scary it was. (It looks as if they had just departed across the river styx with their coins in hand).

 

 

The word of the day…… fogggyyyyy

As to some up the day perfectly, Metoropoliko hit the nail on the head again today just like always.

This was the view on sweep today so I think we can all agree.

 

With the lack of snow and the increasing temperatures the groomers have had their work cut out for them, I caught a photo of them laying in wait for the signal from DE letting them know the slopes were clear ready for them to get to work preparing the slopes for today’s night skiing.

 

tko-San clearing a path for the approaching groomers reminded of a Spanish matador facing an angry bull with nothing but a red flag.

 

With the warmer weather please take care and choose the right clothing for the weather and ski to your ability as the heavier wet snow makes it harder to turn.

おはようございます、こんにちは、そしてこんばんは。
またまた Cultus です。

前回ブログを書いてから、季節はすっかり変わりましたね。
そして今日もまた霧！！どうやら逃れられないみたいです。というのも、僕の当番の日になると、いつも山は濃い霧に包まれているんです（もしかして呪われてる？）。
でもそんなことでは止まりません！！

まるで二つのバイオームの間に立っているみたいでした。
右を見れば霧！左を見れば快晴！

雲海を見渡しながら、まるで『ピーターパン』のワンシーンのように、雲の中を進む大きな船の舵を握っている自分を想像していました。

今日のスラロームレースのスタート地点で、練馬theバイカーと一緒にネットを片付けながら、ポールを外すたびに「ホリャア！」と叫んでいました。
彼がネットをバッグにしまっているとき、「見てよCultus、俺スパイダーマン！」と言って、手でウェブを飛ばすポーズをしながらネットを投げていました（笑）。

サルボボとくまくんは、大いなる未知の世界へ旅立つところでした。「怖いねぇ」と言いながら。
まるで三途の川を渡るために、手に硬貨を握りしめて出発したかのようでした。

今日のキーワードは……
「フォギーーー！！」

今日の一日を完璧に表すならこの一言。めとろぽり子 がまたしても的確に言い当てていました。
今日のスイープ時の景色を見れば、みなさんも納得していただけると思います。

雪不足と気温上昇で、グルーマーの皆さんは本当に大変そうです。
DE から「コースクリア」の合図を待ちながら、ナイター営業に向けてゲレンデ整備に取りかかる準備をしている様子を写真に収めました。

tko-San が近づいてくるグルーマーのために道を開けている姿は、まるで赤い旗ひとつで猛牛に立ち向かうスペインの闘牛士のようでした。

暖かい日が続いていますので、天候に合った服装を心がけ、無理のないレベルで滑走してください。
重たい湿雪はターンが難しくなります。
