It’s me Cultus!!

This morning the sky was blue with strong winds so we put out our trail markings made for a windy day out. Our regular banner signs become sails when the wind gets too strong.

 

Prince was waiting diligently for the commands of the renowned Black helmet for what his duties would be for the morning.

 

It didn’t take long for the weather to flip on its head, as soon, you couldn’t tell the ground from the sky! Skiing through thick fog is difficult and can make even the most advanced skiers come unstuck so please be careful.

 

The clouds stuck to the top of the mountain today as past the halfway mark the fog cleared and the ground was distinguishable from sky again. Making the treacherous journey down to that point seem worth it in some way.

 

 

The famous goryu karaoke gondola passed over head making its way into the shroud with the faint noise of singing coming from within. ( I wonder if they had fun)

 

 

 

 

Today 3 students from the local junior high school came to learn what it is to be a patroller. With smiles on their dials, they skied and undertook tasks that we as patrol do everyday. ( I was happy to see them take pride in setting up a safety net, they did it perfectly too!)

 

 

Today was the day for training!

 

 

Sweep today was completed in thick fog meaning we needed to slowly make our way down as to make sure not to miss any guests that might be lost. They’re were two people that couldn’t make it down so we split up and took them down in our AKJA sleds leaving me by myself to pack up all our nets. This gave me the opportunity to put my skill to the test, I liked the challenge. ( I wonder what my seniors thought of my efforts?)

Today was fun and I’m tired so I must of worked hard, Right?

カルタスです！

今朝は青空でしたが風が強かったので、風の強い日に備えてトレイルマーカーを設置しました。いつものバナーサインは、風が強くなると帆になります。

プリンスは、あの有名な黒メットの指示を待ちながら、今日の任務について聞いていました。

間もなく天候は一変し、空と地面の区別がつかなくなりました！濃い霧の中でのスキーは難しく、上級者でも滑落してしまう可能性がありますので、ご注意ください。

今日は山頂に雲が張り付いていましたが、中間地点を過ぎると霧が晴れ、再び空と地面の区別がつきました。そこまでの危険な道のりも、ある意味、やりがいを感じました。

有名な五竜カラオケゴンドラが頭上を通過し、霧の中からかすかな歌声が聞こえてくる中、霧の中へと入っていきます。 （楽しかったかな？）

今日は地元の中学校から3人の生徒がパトロール隊員の仕事を学びに来てくれました。笑顔でスキーを滑ったり、私たちパトロール隊員が毎日行っている作業をこなしてくれました。（安全ネットの設置に誇りを持っている様子が見られて嬉しかったです。完璧にこなしていました！）

今日は訓練の日でした！

今日の最終は濃霧の中で行われたため、迷子になっているかもしれないお客様を見逃さないように、ゆっくりと下山する必要がありました。下山できなかった2名がいたので、私たちは手分けして救助ソリで彼らを下山させ、私は一人で網を片付けることになりました。自分のスキルを試す機会となり、とても楽しかったです。（先輩たちは私の努力をどう思っていたのでしょうか？）

今日は楽しかったです。疲れたので、頑張ったに違いありませんね。
